Manage the full accounts payable cycle across multiple entities, including invoice processing, approvals, payments, reconciliations, accruals, expense reports, vendor records, 1099 reporting, and audit support. Develop controls and process improvements, provide AP metrics and cash flow support to the CFO, resolve discrepancies with property and regional teams, and supervise, train, and mentor AP staff while ensuring GAAP and regulatory compliance.

Manages multifamily communities and core property operations, including staffing, leasing, resident relations, marketing, maintenance coordination, budgeting, rent collection, vendor relations, recruiting, training, and team development. Monitors rental rates and expenses, addresses resident concerns, oversees move-in readiness, maintains community appearance, schedules onsite employees, and ensures compliance with Fair Housing regulations and company procedures.

Ensures affordable housing communities comply with LIHTC, HUD, PFC, HFC, HOME, BOND, and related regulations. Reviews resident certifications and files, performs quality-control checks, tracks deadlines, prepares audit documentation and agency reports, resolves compliance issues, and supports property teams with guidance and training. The role also conducts regular on-site visits, maintains property management records, and develops compliance processes and best-practice tools with the Compliance Director.

Manage accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of 10–12 properties, including reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, GAAP compliance, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. Coordinate with CPAs, auditors, and tax advisors; support property management teams; review Staff Accountant work; improve controls and processes; explain variances; and mentor junior accounting staff.
