Leads the Software Data Engineering team and oversees software architecture, application development, databases, data platforms, integrations, reporting, analytics, automation, and SharePoint solutions. Establishes development standards, SDLC practices, governance, security, and technology roadmaps. Manages digital transformation initiatives, resources, team performance, cross-functional collaboration, and multiple concurrent software and data projects while communicating recommendations to senior leadership.

Performs lofting, nesting, template preparation, and plate and structure planning for shipbuilding projects. Coordinates with Engineering and Production teams to support fabrication, resolve drawing clarifications, and confirm part locations. Uses 3D models to improve production clarity and align build strategies. Requires basic CAD knowledge, attention to detail, organization, communication skills, and willingness to learn ship construction practices. Work occurs in office and occasional shipyard settings.

Supports procurement and supply chain acquisition activities for vessel materials, goods, and services. Uses ERP systems and Microsoft Excel for data mining, reporting, pricing analysis, supplier research, and product listings. Assists buyers and expediters with RFQs, specifications, supplier communications, logistics information, and action tracking. Participates in daily meetings and distributes notes and follow-up actions. This is a non-supervisory role.

Supports ship construction projects by conducting onboard progress checks, preparing status and cumulative reports, reconciling time and material records, coordinating suppliers and regulatory bodies, requesting quotes, obtaining approvals, and arranging project meetings. The role also performs project tracking, forecasting, compliance monitoring, data analysis, and communication with accounting, payroll, vendors, vessel representatives, and management in a shipyard environment.

Leads planning and scheduling for shipbuilding craft and projects, including integrated master schedules, work packages, resource loading, critical path analysis, change management, and EVMS reporting. Mentors planners and CAMs, supports staffing and subcontractor planning, coordinates dependencies, manages schedule updates, develops process instructions, and drives production schedule recovery. Requires Primavera P6 experience, control account management knowledge, shipbuilding or industrial experience, and a Secret security clearance.

Manage day-to-day planning and scheduling for shipbuilding programs, develop and maintain integrated master schedules and work packages, perform resource loading and critical path analysis, support EVMS reporting and BCR processes, supervise and train planning staff, coordinate with PMs, CAMs, procurement, finance, and operations, and drive process improvements and schedule integration across projects.

Develop and maintain project and production-level schedules, update MS Planner/Primavera status, analyze schedule performance (SPI/CPI), coordinate with discipline managers, project engineers, payroll, and subcontractors, and assist engineering leadership with manpower projections and special research projects.

Coordinate engineering disciplines, subcontractors, and resources to plan, estimate, schedule (>1000 hour) shipbuilding projects. Develop estimates and integrated schedules, report status, lead resolution meetings, support RFP responses, and drive projects to completion while mentoring junior staff and occasionally supervising matrixed engineering resources.
