The Major Gifts Officer manages a caseload of approximately 150 major donors, develops individualized cultivation and solicitation plans, builds donor relationships, prepares funding proposals and requests, tracks donor engagement, and reports monthly on progress. The role supports donor retention and increased giving while coordinating project information and budgets. It requires strong communication, organization, empathy, independence, relationship-building, and fundraising experience in nonprofit organizations.

Manage grant development and reporting: research funders, match programs to funding, write and submit proposals, maintain pipeline and donor database, supervise contract writers, prepare funder reports, and support donor communications.

Manage post-award grant financials and compliance for housing and homeless services: prepare drawdowns and reimbursements, manage grant receivables, reconcile to the general ledger, monitor budgets and spend-downs, maintain audit-ready documentation, support audits and Single Audit requirements, and coordinate with program and finance teams and external funders to ensure regulatory compliance.
