Perform advanced finite element analyses for stellarator systems, including nonlinear structural, thermal, vibration, and magnetic simulations. Develop complex models involving contacts, plasticity, large deformations, materials, and welds; optimize structural designs; and provide data-driven recommendations for critical engineering decisions. Leads the end-to-end design, fabrication, testing, commissioning, and factory deployment of large custom tooling, lifting rigs, fixtures, and handling equipment for fusion hardware. Responsibilities include structural analysis, supplier management, DFM/DFA, rigging safety, assembly planning, precision alignment, metrology, work instructions, and hands-on integration support for complex multi-ton systems.

Designs, analyzes, prototypes, manufactures, tests, and commissions mechanical components and subsystems for stellarator fusion systems. Responsibilities include structural, thermal, and electromagnetic simulation; CAD design and technical drawings; tooling; design for manufacturability; qualification testing; manufacturing support; progress reporting; stakeholder collaboration; and mentoring junior engineers.

Manage daily headquarters operations, facilities, supplies, purchasing, vendors, reception, deliveries, office lunches, and administrative support. Coordinate interviews, onboarding, orientation, intern programs, employee engagement, events, and corporate swag. Collaborate with facilities, marketing, communications, and management teams while identifying process improvements and supporting a rapidly scaling company.

Lead the development, validation, and scale-up of manufacturing processes for high-temperature superconducting magnets. Responsibilities include creating manufacturing documentation, designing and commissioning tooling and automated equipment, driving design for manufacturability, managing BOMs and workflows in PLM/MRP systems, evaluating suppliers, mentoring technical staff, and overseeing manufacturing schedules and budgets.

Leads manufacturing strategy, factory layout, process development, facility commissioning, capital equipment acquisition, and scale-up for high-temperature superconducting magnet production. Partners with design and physics teams on manufacturability, manages tooling and automated assembly systems, establishes process engineering and continuous improvement frameworks, resolves supplier and manufacturing bottlenecks, mentors technical staff, and oversees schedules, risks, and capital expenditures.

Leads thermal and cryogenic design for high-temperature superconducting magnet systems and test facilities. Responsibilities include modeling cooling systems, thermal and structural FEA, specifying cryogenic hardware, conducting prototype testing from 20K to 77K, troubleshooting vacuum and thermal issues, and mentoring engineers. The role requires deep expertise in cryogenic engineering, vacuum systems, low-temperature materials, superconducting magnet cooling, cryocoolers, thermal simulation, CAD, cryogen handling, and sensor integration.

Lead the full lifecycle of large-scale high-temperature superconducting magnet systems for fusion hardware. Responsibilities include HTS cable and magnet design, multiphysics analysis, quench protection, manufacturing oversight, electro-mechanical and cryogenic integration, qualification testing, failure analysis, vendor management, commissioning, and program risk mitigation. The role requires extensive experience with fusion-scale superconducting magnets, large manufacturing programs, cryogenic testing, and cross-functional systems engineering leadership.
