The Platform Reliability Engineer will ensure the availability, performance, and reliability of large-scale distributed systems. Responsibilities include operating Linux and Kubernetes environments, building automation, managing CI/CD pipelines, implementing observability, troubleshooting distributed systems, leading incident response, conducting post-incident reviews, and reducing operational toil. The role may also involve SLOs, error budgets, chaos engineering, cloud platforms, capacity planning, load testing, and service mesh technologies.

Responsibilities include distributed training platforms, scheduling, storage and networking performance, observability, fault tolerance, security, automation, cost optimization, and developer tooling. Partners with ML research teams on capacity planning and maintains operational documentation. Requires expertise in GPU clusters, distributed systems, Linux, networking, cloud ML services, and software engineering, with proficiency in Python and Go or C++.

Designs end-to-end cloud architectures across infrastructure, networking, identity, security, and data services. Leads architecture reviews, cloud standards, landing zones, migrations, modernization, governance, cost optimization, and capacity planning. Produces technical architecture documentation, collaborates with security and engineering teams, evaluates cloud technologies, and mentors engineers.

Designs, deploys, administers, and supports enterprise VMware virtualization and hybrid cloud infrastructure. Responsibilities include managing vSphere, vSAN, NSX, VCF, Tanzu, Aria, disaster recovery, automation, cloud integrations, lifecycle upgrades, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and technical documentation. The consultant will support on-premises and public cloud VMware environments while ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.

Designs and operates enterprise observability platforms for metrics, logs, traces, events, synthetic monitoring, dashboards, and alerting. Configure networking, storage, security, and multi-tenant environments; build CI/CD pipelines; implement monitoring, logging, disaster recovery, and platform security. Collaborate with development teams, optimize workloads, troubleshoot issues, document solutions, and mentor junior engineers.
