Perform monthly financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, account reconciliations, and reporting for central finance. Extract and analyze data from business systems, prepare presentations for senior leadership, support month-end close and GAAP compliance, develop policies/procedures, and assist leadership on finance projects.

Applies Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies and tools such as Smartsheet and Microsoft Project. Oversees project quality, compliance, continuous improvement, post-project evaluations, and team alignment in a matrixed environment.

Oversees departmental accounting, budgeting, reconciliations, invoices, purchase orders, journal entries, financial reporting, variance analysis, accruals, and audit support. The role works with vendors, contractors, Accounts Payable, and Facilities managers while ensuring compliance with University policies and accurate fiscal administration. It also identifies process improvements and reports the department’s financial standing to management.

Assists with Employee Retirement Plan audits, Form 5500 tax returns, financial statements, investment-related footnotes, journal entries, reconciliations, audit work papers, and financial reporting procedures. Reviews trustee transactions and investment agreements, tracks cash transfers and divested securities, interacts with external auditors, and ensures compliance with U.S. GAAP and university policies.

The Sr. Accounting Analyst analyzes financial activities, prepares reports, conducts audits, and provides financial insights to support decision-making.

Process and post fundraising financial transactions, reconcile and manage gifts, handle credit card and payroll deduction gifts, update donor biographical records, acknowledge donations, perform quality control to maintain database accuracy, and ensure compliance with university, IRS, and campaign policies.

Analyze and monitor financial status for a school/college/hospital, prepare budgets, forecasts, reconciliations, dashboards and reports, support sponsored project financial management, ensure compliance, advise leadership, and train junior staff.
