The Cost Recovery Specialist identifies, recovers, and prevents financial leakage across grocery retail operations. Responsibilities include supplier debit balance collections, post-audit recovery coordination, recovery and savings reporting, vendor and category analysis, process improvement recommendations, financial systems testing, accounting support, documentation, and special projects. The role collaborates with Finance, Merchandising, Procurement, Supply Chain, Accounts Payable, suppliers, and external audit partners.

Manages complex, cross-functional business projects from planning through delivery. Serves as the primary interface with sponsors, product managers, and business units; develops project plans, schedules, resource requirements, and third-party integration efforts; controls scope, budget, timelines, and deliverables; ensures adherence to EPMO and PMBOK standards; and escalates issues to leadership when necessary.

Design, develop, maintain, and support application code and databases; lead requirements gathering, testing, and documentation; mentor peers; troubleshoot production issues; ensure compliance with change control and regulatory standards; communicate with business SMEs and present technical information to varied audiences.
