Supports Special Investigations Unit operations by managing investigative workflows, triaging claim alerts, assigning items for SIU review, conducting directed investigations, and processing non-routine claims data. Coordinates administrative activities for Claims leadership, manages system access, assists with calls, and organizes team events. The role requires strong research, analytical, decision-making, interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Leads life underwriting risk selection, operations, personnel, and strategy. Oversees complex medical, financial, and behavioral risk assessments while aligning decisions with mortality and morbidity expectations, compliance, customer experience, fraud prevention, and long-term financial objectives. Drives operational improvements, evaluates application risks, and collaborates with policyholders, agents, vendors, employees, and industry organizations.

Supervises an underwriting unit, including staffing, assignments, employee performance, productivity, hiring, development, and evaluations. Reviews applications, policy changes, exceptions, billing, money handling, bad debt, risks, statutory requirements, and physical inspection needs. Evaluates department processes, supports projects and training, and ensures compliance with underwriting regulations, laws, manuals, and company policies while delivering strong customer service.

Balances and reconciles bank accounts, cash transactions, and agent office accounts; investigates discrepancies; audits disbursements and expense reports; prepares travel, personal property, management, and statutory reports; supports accountants and communicates with internal teams, banks, agents, vendors, and auditors.
