The Instructional Designer I is responsible for producing high-quality online courses, coordinating development activities, and collaborating with various teams to innovate learning solutions.

Provide high-level administrative and operational support to the Vice President of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement and Major Gifts team. Manage calendars, travel, donor visit logistics, correspondence, briefing materials, meeting coordination, action-item tracking, campaign-related administrative workflows, and provide coverage for traveling fundraisers to ensure continuity of donor engagement.

Lead advancement data strategy, governance, quality, and analytics to support fundraising, alumni engagement, and campaign goals. Develop data roadmaps, dashboards, MDM processes, governance frameworks, and operational controls. Manages course schedules across face-to-face, online, and virtual modalities. Coordinates with academic departments, campus administration, Student Success Operations, and adjunct faculty to align offerings with demand, availability, and capacity. Reviews and corrects scheduling discrepancies, resolves conflicts, manages cancellations and course changes, administers adjunct contracts, and coordinates payroll processes. Ensures compliance with academic scheduling timelines while supporting accurate course delivery and a positive student experience.

Provides strategic and operational leadership across the University's Western operations. The role drives organizational effectiveness, change management, process improvement, cross-functional collaboration, data-informed decisions, and leadership development. Responsibilities include overseeing managers and teams, allocating resources, supporting recruitment and employee development, addressing complex personnel matters, and aligning regional operations with institutional priorities. The position indirectly leads approximately 40 staff members and may require travel for university activities.

Provides faculty mentoring, course reviews, instructional observations, professional development, and evidence-based teaching guidance. Researches instructional technologies and pedagogical resources, develops instructional materials, and collaborates with faculty, instructional designers, college leaders, and university departments. Evaluates instructional data and trends to support course and teaching improvements while maintaining knowledge of pedagogy, curriculum, policies, and the scholarship of teaching and learning.

Provides in-person, virtual, and electronic reference services; delivers synchronous and asynchronous library instruction; develops information literacy resources and online learning objects; supports faculty liaison relationships; and collaborates on collection management, library promotion, events, and cross-departmental initiatives. The role serves residential and online students and requires regular business hours, including nights and weekends.

The Data Governance & Analytics Manager guides data stewardship and effective data usage across the university, ensuring data accuracy and supporting compliance reporting.

Serve as the on-site sole point of contact for Embry-Riddle at Camp Pendleton, providing academic advising, student services, site administration, budget management, compliance, community relations, and facility oversight. Maintain student records, coordinate course offerings, and build local stakeholder relationships to promote enrollment and site operations.
