Leads a software engineering team while remaining hands-on in production Java development. Owns technical vision, architecture, code quality, Scrum delivery, production services, incident response, and PCI DSS compliance. Owns the Payment Experience product domain, including virtual terminal, surcharging, tender types, and login/security. Develops product vision, strategy, roadmaps, backlogs, and merchant adoption initiatives. Navigates payment regulations, card-brand rules, PCI, ACH requirements, and partnerships. Conducts discovery, prioritizes work, collaborates with Agile engineering teams, and measures outcomes including revenue, adoption, retention, and deal enablement.

Own and improve PayJunction’s IT infrastructure, including Mac fleets, Ubuntu servers, AWS environments, networking, identity systems, monitoring, incident response, and automation. Build Terraform-managed infrastructure and data pipelines integrating MySQL, Salesforce, and spreadsheet data into a warehouse. Lead security, PCI compliance, patching, vulnerability management, audits, system migrations, and occasional help desk support while maintaining thorough documentation.

Own platform reliability, security, automation, uptime, and incident response for payment-processing systems. Build and evolve AWS infrastructure with Terraform, manage infrastructure as code across cloud and physical environments, containerize legacy services, administer Linux servers, and embed PCI DSS compliance through patching, vulnerability management, logging, and monitoring. Provide technical leadership and support secure infrastructure for analytics and BI systems.

Own and prioritize the Payment Experience backlog, translate initiatives into user stories and acceptance criteria, coordinate requirements across stakeholders and engineering, facilitate Scrum refinement, maintain ready work, communicate priorities, and measure post-release adoption and outcomes.

Manage merchant onboarding by processing applications, collecting and verifying financial documents, resolving issues, and coordinating with sales, customer success, and underwriting teams. Maintain a pipeline of 30+ applications, answer inbound calls, communicate with merchants daily, document tasks in internal systems, and protect sensitive information while ensuring accurate, timely, and satisfying customer experiences.
