Leads global, cross-functional customer programs from pursuit through launch, production stabilization, engineering changes, and closeout. Owns program plans, governance, APQP and PPAP readiness, budgets, forecasts, risks, changes, customer commitments, and launch performance. Coordinates Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Sales, Finance, suppliers, and plant leadership. Uses dashboards and program-management systems to track milestones, costs, risks, decisions, and deliverables while driving recovery plans, continuous improvement, and sustainable execution.

Leads supplier quality assurance and improvement from supplier selection through production. Manages APQP, PPAP, supplier audits, corrective actions, containment, risk assessments, capacity verification, launch readiness, and supplier development. Uses structured problem-solving and statistical methods to reduce defects, improve process capability, and lower supplier-related quality costs. Provides quality leadership for automotive and commercial vehicle suppliers. Manages supplier corrective actions, 8D investigations, containment, continuous improvement, APQP and PPAP submissions, audits, special characteristics, and production-quality issues. Partners with supply chain and cross-functional teams to ensure supplier compliance, successful program launches, cost reduction, and on-time delivery. Conducts supplier training and audits while maintaining quality documentation and standards compliance. Travel is required up to 40% of the time.

Supports the global HRIS helpdesk, including basic Workday configuration, end-user questions, data corrections, and security assignments. Performs Workday data-quality audits, manipulates large datasets in Excel, completes mass data uploads, and assists with HRIS projects. The intern works onsite at least three days per week and collaborates with HR staff while maintaining accurate system data and efficient workflows.

Supports budgeting, forecasting, finance consolidations, executive presentation materials, and process automation initiatives. Works with finance and accounting teams while gaining experience with financial systems, analytics tools, and AI-enabled process improvements. The intern must be enrolled in an accounting or finance degree program, maintain a 3.0 GPA, work 20–30 hours weekly in a hybrid format, and live within driving distance of Auburn Hills, Michigan.

Supports the North America Sales team with customer account management, quotations, contract administration, prototype orders, pricing databases, market research, presentations, and business reviews. Collaborates with Engineering, Finance, Operations, and Program Management teams while gaining experience in the automotive industry.

Leads multibody dynamics analysis and simulation for engine, driveline, and chain-drive systems. Develops and validates system models, optimizes designs, enhances proprietary engineering software and automation, and advances analysis methods. Provides technical direction across global teams, coordinates technical projects, supports customers and manufacturing, investigates new technologies and materials, and contributes to intellectual property.

Supports industrial business development through market research, competitive analysis, customer and industry trend monitoring, digital content and social media assistance, event planning, and sales and marketing coordination. The intern will focus on emerging markets such as data centers, energy storage, power generation, distributed energy, and industrial electrification while collaborating with business development, engineering, and product management teams.

Develop complex mechanical designs, layouts, stack-ups, detail drawings, and assemblies with minimal supervision. Maintain CAD/CAM files, determine dimensions and tolerances, support prototypes and BOMs, follow drafting standards, and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, customers, and suppliers. The role requires NX proficiency, automotive experience, advanced GD&T knowledge, and an associate degree in design or drafting.

Supports electric machine design and analysis for automotive applications, including IPM, induction, and wound-rotor synchronous machines. Develops electromagnetic and multiphysics optimization methods, magnetic equivalent circuit tools, inverter/machine co-simulations, and custom engineering analysis software using ANSYS Maxwell, Motor-CAD, MATLAB/Simulink, and Python. The intern also supports active engineering projects, new product concepts, business opportunities, and AI applications in electric machine design.
