Lead complex cross-team engineering initiatives, create conformance tooling and shared frameworks, debug protocol-level issues, collaborate directly with card networks, mentor engineers, apply AI-assisted development practices, and participate in on-call support for critical financial systems.

Build and operate highly reliable card-issuing software and tooling across authorization, clearing, settlement, certification, and network integrations. Serve as a technical expert on card-network specifications, protocols, mandates, and production behavior. Lead complex cross-team engineering work, debug protocol-level issues, influence network requirements, mentor engineers, improve platform reliability, and participate in on-call support for critical financial systems.

Own a local territory through field-based prospecting, business visits, demos, partnerships, and full-cycle sales. Generate pipeline, sell Square’s software and hardware ecosystem to restaurants, retailers, and service businesses, maintain accurate Salesforce activity and forecasts, support onboarding, and consistently exceed quota.

Leads strategic finance for major commercial partnerships, including financial modeling, deal advisory, pricing negotiations, cost forecasting, competitive analysis, and executive recommendations. Partners cross-functionally with Finance, Product, Data Science, Legal, and Accounting while building dashboards, SQL queries, and automated reporting to support decision-making.

Lead global ecosystem partnerships for Block’s Square, Cash App, and Afterpay products. Develop partnership strategies, build executive relationships, design scalable programs, negotiate commercial agreements, and commercialize B2B and B2B2C payment products through third-party platforms. Own partner performance, drive integrations and distribution, and collaborate with Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Compliance, and Legal teams to maximize growth and reach.

Analyze product, customer, risk, and support data to guide decisions across Block’s platforms. Own metrics, forecasting, staffing models, experiments, visualizations, and measurement frameworks. Evaluate risk models and policies for performance, bias, and drift; use AI tools and agent workflows to improve analytical execution. Partner with product, engineering, and risk stakeholders, lead technical standards, build reusable tooling, mentor data scientists, and contribute to hiring.
