Operate, secure, and maintain large-scale HPC CPU/GPU clusters including compute/storage/interconnects. Configure and tune GPU nodes, job schedulers, monitoring/observability, backups, patching, vulnerability scanning, and documentation. Provide vendor coordination and elevated user support, enforce security/compliance controls, and maintain system inventories and recovery capabilities.

Support climate and Earth system researchers by developing, deploying, and optimizing AI/ML workflows on HPC and GPU-accelerated systems. Assist with compiling, profiling, tuning, and porting scientific applications; optimize system utilization (CPU/GPU, memory, storage, I/O); maintain scientific software environments and datasets; provide consulting, training, documentation, and grant support to advance AI-enabled climate research.

Provide administrative and operational support for the Chicago Center for HIV Elimination, including preparing space and equipment, client check-in and consent, collecting demographic/contact information, scheduling, supporting outreach and events, triaging communications, providing leader support, and assisting with reporting, grant writing, and strategic tasks. Attend meetings and trainings and work some evenings/weekends as needed.

Manage day-to-day hybrid office operations and front desk; handle vendor and building contacts; support program logistics for events and participant travel; process reimbursements, invoices, and financial reconciliation; create operational processes and special reports; coordinate leader calendar and project support.

Perform payroll and HRIS-related duties including pre/post-payroll audits, validating payment requests, analyzing Workday time and absence data, resolving payroll discrepancies, running audit reports, supporting payroll adjustments, and providing end-user IT support for hardware/software setup, troubleshooting, and system updates to ensure accurate, compliant payroll processing.

Support the Development Innovation Lab by drafting communications, policy briefs, and presentations; engage policymakers, multilateral partners, and donors; translate research into policy recommendations; coordinate teams and events; contribute to research with policy implications; and manage outreach, stakeholder relationships, and logistical support for high-profile policy engagements.
