Oversee accounting operations for an aviation MRO facility, including general ledger, payables, receivables, fixed assets, payroll, financial reporting, and month-end closing. Ensure GAAP, FAA, DCAA, SOX, and other regulatory compliance; support audits, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and variance analysis. Lead policy improvements, manage banking relationships, and mentor accounting staff while collaborating with operational departments.

Manage customer returns, exchanges, drop shipments, non-conforming products, teardown reconciliations, vendor performance, and related billing or payment activities. Prepare reports, analyze trends, resolve cross-functional issues, maintain procedures, and support Sales and Program Management. Manages financial reporting and accounting operations for the MRO business, including financial statement preparation, month-end and year-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, general ledger analysis, variance analysis, internal controls, audits, and compliance. Collaborates with controllers and cross-functional teams, supports department projects, meets reporting deadlines, and mentors junior accounting staff.

Supports enterprise budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, KPI reporting, cost allocation, capital expenditure planning, audits, and scenario analysis across aviation business units. Partners with operational and commercial teams to optimize margins, identify cost savings, and support strategic decisions. The role requires advanced financial modeling, cost accounting, inventory and lease accounting knowledge, and ERP experience in an on-site Fort Lauderdale environment.

Analyzes aviation business data, develops reports and dashboards, identifies operational trends, supports business cases and ROI analyses, and provides insights for process improvement. The role gathers requirements, supports system implementations and user acceptance testing, collaborates with IT and vendors, monitors sales, repairs, inventory, and operations data, and communicates recommendations to stakeholders. This is an onsite position supporting GA Telesis’s Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul division.
