The role involves high-pressure, vacuum, hazardous, and cryogenic fluids, collaboration across engineering and manufacturing teams, and compliance with applicable safety and piping standards.

Performs high-fidelity fluids analyses for solid rocket motor products using hand calculations, steady and transient CFD, and 1D modeling. Evaluates test data, correlates analytical models, supports design improvements, and collaborates with design, manufacturing, and test teams. Participates in design reviews, failure investigations, technical documentation, and continuous improvement. Provides mentorship and technical guidance to peers.

Develop and maintain a custom SCADA platform for advanced propulsion manufacturing facilities. Design operator-focused HMIs, data pathways, historians, dashboards, tag-based databases, sequences, and queries using Ignition and Siemens TIA Portal. Collaborate with controls, manufacturing, software, platform, and technician teams throughout equipment development and validation. Support hands-on builds, documentation, standards development, equipment integration, troubleshooting, and safe, efficient production operations.

Design, integrate, commission, and validate PLC-based automated production equipment and facility infrastructure for aerospace propulsion manufacturing. Responsibilities include motion-system and instrumentation integration, SCADA connectivity, electrical schematics, P&IDs, safety-focused systems for hazardous processes, commissioning, troubleshooting documentation, and equipment standards. The engineer collaborates with Manufacturing, Test, Quality, Safety, and product teams across projects ranging from benchtop fixtures to facility-scale systems.

Manage purchase orders for materials, components, services, and equipment; monitor supplier performance and deliveries; negotiate pricing and terms; maintain supplier compliance with ITAR/EAR and FAR/DFAR; coordinate NDAs; collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Material Control; identify cost savings and resolve supply issues to support manufacturing timelines.

Lead program execution from market need through sustainment for in-space propulsion programs. Manage customer relationships, budgets, schedules, risks, deliverables, and cross-functional technical teams. Prepare program review materials, support capture and BD efforts, and ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction while meeting ITAR/EAR and security eligibility requirements.
