Four-month data science co-op supporting RBC’s Enterprise Control Testing AI and Automation team. Responsibilities include business analytics, process optimization, data profiling and cleaning, data mining, statistical and heuristic analysis, visualization, technical documentation, and communicating insights to technical and non-technical audiences. The intern will use Python, SQL, version control, and potentially NLP and AI techniques to develop data-driven solutions.

Actuarial co-op student supporting pricing and valuation modeling, assumption validation, market and trend analysis, reporting, capital measurement, and special quote analysis. The role uses AXIS, R, SQL, Excel, and other tools to develop actuarial models, streamline processes, analyze results, and communicate findings to management and stakeholders. Candidates gain exposure to insurance sales, pricing, valuation, risk, capital, investment strategy, and liability cash flow management.

Supports Global Special Investigations and Forensic Accounting teams with financial crime investigations. Gathers, reviews, and analyzes documents, account activity, and other data to identify losses and intelligence while mitigating financial, regulatory, reputational, and legal risks. Manages assigned cases, provides updates to senior management, and helps improve investigation processes and tools.

Supports enterprise risk identification and assessment through research, analysis, and monitoring of global economic, geopolitical, societal, and technological trends. Assists with risk presentations, white papers, quarterly and annual reporting for senior management and the Board, and updates to the enterprise Risk Repository. Collaborates with Group Risk Management, business segments, Economics, Treasury, and Strategy teams while developing foundational risk management knowledge.

Design, build, and deploy AI and machine learning solutions, including large language models, for balance sheet and liquidity risk management. Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders to develop scalable solutions using modern tools and infrastructure. Contribute to transformational projects, explore improved technologies and processes, and participate actively in the RBC development community.

Provide financial control support including month-end and quarter-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, attestation packages, and monthly analytical reporting. Support internal/external audits and annual financial statement audits, statutory balance sheet and P&L processes, transfer pricing postings, and legal entity reporting. Maintain financial process documentation, resolve ledger discrepancies, and respond to ad hoc inquiries while developing accounting and reporting knowledge.

Supports RBC’s Financial Crimes function by analyzing AML risks, maintaining compliance policies and procedures, reviewing reports, summarizing findings, monitoring emerging risks, supporting program improvements, and contributing to training and awareness initiatives. The role collaborates with AML Advisory, business partners, and internal stakeholders in an office-based Toronto environment.

Four-month actuarial internship supporting insurance pricing, valuation, capital measurement, reporting, and special quote analysis. The intern will build and analyze actuarial models, validate assumptions, identify business trends, enhance tools, and communicate results to management and stakeholders. Work will involve AXIS, R, SQL, Excel, and collaboration with actuarial, investment, risk management, and other teams. The placement runs from January through April 2027 in Ontario.

Supports enterprise control assessment activities, evaluating control design and operating effectiveness against internal policies and standards. Assists with regulatory commitments, risk management programs, process improvement projects, management discussions, and maintenance of risk assessment and control-testing tools. The intern partners with business stakeholders, supports engagement, and contributes to improving program efficiency and maturity.
