Provide operational support and engineering for secure global WAN and LAN environments supporting AFRICOM. Deploy and maintain enterprise and datacenter networks, routing and switching, Cisco ACI and Nexus fabrics, Palo Alto and Cisco firewalls, identity services, encryptors, load balancers, and core network services. Supports Intelligence Community WAN, LAN, and campus networks across multiple security domains, specializing in COMSEC account management and encryption device operations. Maintains cryptographic equipment and controlled materials, troubleshoots network components, supports installations and upgrades, develops system designs and test plans, monitors communications security performance, and ensures compliance with government security and quality standards. Requires independent work, technical documentation, presentations, and occasional evening or weekend availability.

Proactively hunt for indicators of compromise and anomalous behavior across NGA systems and networks. Conduct Windows, Linux, network, host, and process analysis; validate technical data; track incidents; document tickets and hunt missions; contribute to operational reports; and collaborate with cyber threat intelligence and countermeasure teams to improve cybersecurity posture.

Deploys and manages cloud, virtualized, physical network, and cybersecurity infrastructure, including IDS/IPS, firewalls, SIEM, SOAR, and EDR. Collaborates with vendors and government experts to integrate algorithms into complex hardware and software systems, resolve technical issues, and align development with requirements. Mentors junior team members and represents the program in technical meetings. The role is on-site in Chantilly, Virginia, supporting space-based remote-sensing capabilities.

Administer Tenable Security Center, Nessus Scanners, and Nessus Manager on Linux platforms. Conduct vulnerability scans, analyze and prioritize findings, coordinate remediation, produce reports, monitor alerts, respond to incidents, maintain secure platform performance, install security products, and train users. The role supports enterprise cybersecurity environments and requires extensive cyber experience, current TS/SCI clearance, DoD certification, and the ability to pass a government polygraph.

Supports program and project managers across planning, monitoring, execution, scheduling, resource allocation, risk management, documentation, and stakeholder communication. The role coordinates with technical and functional teams, facilitates meetings, tracks milestones and action items, resolves operational issues, and supports delivery within timelines and budgets. Requires project management experience and familiarity with automated test systems and equipment, Microsoft Office, and project management methodologies.
