Manages eThekwini Municipality’s Graphic Design Service, including staff, design projects, corporate identity, branding guidance, operating procedures, archives, budgets, and project delivery. Plans section activities, assesses performance, oversees expenditure, and ensures effective service delivery across municipal directorates. Requires a Graphic Design diploma, driving license, and four years of relevant experience, including two years in a supervisory role.

Conducts employee training across the municipality, including implementing training needs, developing and updating manuals and learning materials, delivering classroom courses, customizing content, assessing learners, evaluating training effectiveness, maintaining safe training-center conditions, and providing post-course follow-up. The role requires collaboration with directorates and supports learning and development initiatives for employees at all levels.

Supervises staff and manages fruit ripening-room operations, including receiving, checking, issuing, and auditing produce. Monitors temperatures, investigates faults, reports equipment breakdowns, inspects produce quality, and ensures health and safety compliance. The role also manages security, resolves queries, supports market promotion, and provides relief for the Cold Store and Multipurpose Rooms Manager. Work is performed six days per week in a cold environment.

Coordinates and delivers tourism projects, events, promotional initiatives, and destination-positioning activities. Manages promotional material distribution, service-provider registration, tourism databases, reporting, correspondence, and related administrative tasks. Ensures projects are completed within budget and timelines while supporting regional tourism objectives. Requires extensive travel within the region and occasional after-hours or weekend work.

Provides supervised networking and telecommunications support for a municipality. Installs and evaluates hardware and software, supports users and municipal units, and maintains network and telecommunications infrastructure. The role requires an ICT-related diploma, a valid motor vehicle driving license, strong communication and interpersonal skills, service orientation, resilience, and willingness to learn. Applicants with 12 months or more of prior work experience, internship, in-service, or WIL participation are excluded.

Provides reception and telephone services for the Office of the Executive Director, supports management and staff with office-related tasks, and completes related assignments.
