Job Purpose:
To conduct training lessons to all Council employees at all levels.
Key Responsibility Areas:
• Implement training needs as supplied by the Directorates.
• Design and produce training manuals and notes.
• Designing and producing training manuals and notes and presents existing courses.
• Conducting classroom based training and customises existing training material where necessary.
• Researching, developing and updating learning material.
• Evaluate training provided.
• Designing and conducting learner assessments and evaluates training provided.
• Responsible for the maintenance of safe working conditions in the training centre.
• Providing post course follow-up.

Essential Requirements:
• Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Education or Training or Human Resources Management or Business Administration or any other related and equivalent qualification.
• National Certificate Occupationally Directed Education Training and Development Practices (OD-ETDP) (NQF Level 5) or certificate in Education Training and Development Practices (NQF Level 5).
• Valid motor vehicle driving license
• 3 years relevant experience in a Learning and Development environment.
• Computer Literacy.
Preferred Requirements:
• Degree (NQF Level 7) in Education or Training or Human Resources Management or Business Administration or any other related and equivalent qualification.
• National Certificate Occupationally Directed Education Training and Development Practices (OD-ETDP) (NQF Level 5) or certificate in Education Training and Development Practices (NQF Level 5).
• Instructional Design tools for e-Learning Certificate.
• 4 years relevant experience in a Learning and Development environment.
