Air Traffic Controllers ensure the safe and efficient flow of air traffic in Canadian airspace, requiring strong communication and decision-making skills, with paid training provided by NAV CANADA.

Provides electronic maintenance services for complex navigation, surveillance, communications, and air traffic management systems. Supports safe, reliable air navigation operations through equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, teamwork, and problem-solving. The role includes structured training, requires English-French bilingualism, a technical diploma or degree, a valid driver’s license, some lifting, occasional travel, and compliance with security requirements. Previous aviation experience is not required.

Manages Air Traffic Services learning policies, quality assurance, compliance audits, and continuous improvement. Develops audit frameworks, evaluates training and student progression, identifies non-conformities, monitors corrective actions, and reports compliance trends. The role collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, supports organizational change, and ensures alignment with regulatory standards and the Safety Management System. It is hybrid, requires at least three days onsite weekly, and includes occasional travel.

Administers operational training records, correspondence, student support, licensing applications, audits, budgets, and training plans. Maintains compliance with NAV CANADA policies, collective agreements, Transport Canada standards, and aviation regulations. Coordinates office administration, security, accommodations, personnel records, meetings, and quality assurance activities. Requires bilingual English and French communication and on-site work at least four days per week.

Leads NAV CANADA’s RPAS Traffic Management strategy, operations, safety, product and service portfolios. Oversees RTM capabilities, digital services, risk management, regulatory alignment, operational readiness and stakeholder partnerships. Advises senior leadership, represents NAV CANADA with regulators and industry organizations, develops business and investment strategies, and leads a multidisciplinary team supporting safe RPAS and advanced air mobility integration into Canadian airspace.

Leads CNS technical services, including team leadership, workforce planning, training, system integrity, regulatory compliance, project implementation, technology deployment, budgeting, procurement, and operational resource management. The role coordinates large-scale initiatives with internal teams, contractors, airports, air traffic control facilities, unions, and national stakeholders while ensuring safe, reliable air transportation operations.

Provides expert leadership for integrating cybersecurity into enterprise architecture, modernization, and transformation initiatives. Defines security principles, reference architectures, design patterns, standards, controls, and guardrails across IT, operational technology, cloud, and application environments. Reviews solution designs, applies threat and risk intelligence, supports architecture governance, and promotes interoperability across cybersecurity platforms. The role collaborates with enterprise architecture, technology teams, and business stakeholders in a regulated, safety-critical environment.

Leads NAV CANADA’s national diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging portfolio, including employee resource groups, DEIB circles, governance councils, partnerships and engagement initiatives. Translates strategy into coordinated programs, governance practices and measurable outcomes; supports executive decision-making; manages events, budgets, vendors, procurement and resources; and builds relationships with employees, leaders, community groups and external partners.
