Leads business analysis and discovery for mortgage technology initiatives, partnering with operations and technology teams to improve loan origination workflows. Identifies automation and AI opportunities, evaluates business cases, translates mortgage requirements into user stories and functional solutions, and supports implementation, testing, training, and adoption. Requires substantial business analysis and mortgage industry experience, especially in non-Agency lending environments.

Designs and delivers mortgage training programs for third-party origination partners and internal teams. Responsibilities include onboarding, webinars, systems training, instructional videos, documentation, job aids, resource version control, training administration, and effectiveness analysis. The role collaborates with Sales, Marketing, Product, Technology, and leadership to improve product adoption, operational performance, and client retention.

Owns correspondent marketing strategy for a sophisticated capital markets audience. Responsibilities include market research, opportunity analysis, thought leadership, sales enablement, quarterly business reviews, press response, events, social media, budgets, vendors, and cross-functional collaboration. The role builds institutional credibility and supports account penetration and pipeline growth through research-backed content, market intelligence, and capital markets-facing materials.

Build and manage a local wholesale mortgage business within an assigned territory. Develop face-to-face relationships with mortgage brokers and TPOs, sign new partners, generate monthly loan volume, and facilitate applications through closing with internal teams. Maintain compliance and licensing, analyze market opportunities, resolve transaction issues, and contribute to territory growth. Candidates must have an established local broker network, a $3–5 million monthly book of business, at least six funded loans monthly, and recent non-Agency mortgage sales experience.

Manage general ledger and day-to-day accounting for the General Partner and affiliates, support month/quarter/year-end close, prepare financial statements and disclosures, reconcile accounts and intercompany balances, assist with cash forecasting, KPI reporting, budgeting and financial modeling, coordinate with external auditors and third-party accounting firms, and help develop automated reporting tools.

Perform pre-funding, post-closing, targeted, and vendor QC reviews of mortgage loan files to assess accuracy, investor eligibility, regulatory compliance, and adherence to policies; validate findings, manage vendor responses, track defects and trends, support remediation, and produce QC reporting to drive process improvements and control enhancements.

Develop and manage institutional relationships with banks and credit unions to drive referral and wholesale origination of non-Agency and Jumbo mortgage loans. Source new partners, educate on products and underwriting, coordinate loan execution with internal teams, grow production within assigned territory, and represent Verus at industry events.

Provide application configuration, troubleshooting, escalation, and end-user support for mortgage origination/acquisition systems. Monitor application health, write documentation, run ad-hoc database queries, collaborate with product owners and vendors, and prioritize multiple support requests to maintain system stability and performance.
