Lead creative direction and production of culturally relevant Canva templates and elements for the Spanish market. Translate country strategy into high-performing content, manage local freelancers and creators, oversee quality and brand adherence, analyze content performance, identify market gaps, and guide AI-enabled production workflows. Partner with country, regional, design, SEO, localization, product, marketing, social, PR, creator, and partnership teams. Lead editorial and trend initiatives, manage content production workflows, evaluate performance data, gather local insights, and activate creators and partners to build a scalable content ecosystem.

Build, evaluate, and ship machine learning ranking and relevance systems for private, team, and brand content search. Improve relevance, recall, result understanding, search recovery, and exact title matching. Collaborate with backend engineers on ElasticSearch, OpenSearch, and vector search, extend capabilities to agent-driven search, investigate production regressions, and own scoped projects from problem framing through measurable delivery.

Build, evaluate, and ship machine-learning ranking and relevance systems for private, team, and brand content search. Improve relevance, recall, result understanding, search recovery, and exact-title matching. Contribute to Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, vector search, indexing, annotation, and agent-driven search. Investigate production regressions, run experiments, measure search-quality impact, own scoped projects end to end, and communicate technical trade-offs across technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

Conduct frontier research on generative models for design creation. Train and evaluate LLMs and multimodal models at scale, develop data pipelines, training objectives, evaluation benchmarks, and quality metrics, investigate model failures, and translate research into production techniques. Own research projects from problem framing through validated or shipped outcomes, collaborate with product teams, communicate findings, and remain current with generative modeling advances.

Own and scale Canva’s APAC print partner network, driving supplier performance, readiness for product launches, onboarding, operational improvements, risk resolution, and partner accountability. Collaborate with Product, Commercial, CX, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to improve quality, reliability, and customer outcomes. Lead strategic initiatives and projects independently from concept through execution while managing external partners and operational escalations.
