Analyze prospective countries’ payment landscapes, identify infrastructure gaps and opportunities, position NPCI International solutions, and support advisory client engagements. The role collaborates with senior managers on client management, project coordination, strategic insights, and high-quality deliverables while helping convert payment infrastructure opportunities.

Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, reusable data models, data APIs, and data lake infrastructure. Define product KPIs and measurement frameworks, enable funnel and monetization analytics, and support batch and real-time data processing. Ensure data quality, governance, monitoring, and documentation while collaborating with product, engineering, analytics, and business teams. Mentor junior staff and adopt emerging data engineering and AI/ML technologies.

Administer PostgreSQL, Cassandra, and ClickHouse databases for high-volume fintech workloads. Design schemas, indexing, partitioning, replication, disaster recovery, and point-in-time recovery strategies. Tune queries and capacity, automate operations with Shell and Python, manage database security and compliance, and resolve production incidents with root-cause documentation. Collaborate with engineering teams, maintain technical documentation, and participate in 24/7 on-call support.

Support and operate OpenStack private-cloud infrastructure, Docker and Kubernetes platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and big-data environments. Automate infrastructure with Terraform, Ansible, Python, and Shell; monitor systems using ELK, Prometheus, Loki, and Grafana; troubleshoot Linux production issues; and maintain reliable 24/7 data platforms. Responsibilities also include deployment support, root-cause analysis, security controls, network and cluster configuration, infrastructure maintenance, and Level 2 technical support under senior engineering guidance.

Manage office IT infrastructure including Microsoft 365 email, Cisco IronPort gateways, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, public BIND DNS, Wi-Fi, endpoint management, patching, backups, security remediation, scripting, troubleshooting, disaster recovery drills, and audit compliance. Maintain service uptime, secure email and DNS environments, administer user access and policies, and coordinate with information security, audit, and risk teams.

Lead technical implementation and integration of global clients and partners for UPI and RuPay acceptance, remittance, licensing, and digital payment solutions. Independently manage payment API architecture, infrastructure models, security considerations, SDLC and implementation lifecycles. Prepare technical specifications, API documentation, templates, and RFP responses while serving as a technical subject matter expert. Communicate solution designs confidently with international clients and collaborate across teams on platform and market rollouts.

Monitor NPCI member compliance with circulars, guidelines, and directives; review business proposals against RBI laws; coordinate responses to RBI inspections; facilitate product, statutory, quality, and regulatory audits; manage cross-functional governance teams; address member queries; liaise with RBI, IBA, banks, and financial institutions; and automate compliance processes across payment ecosystems.

Manage Bank IT stakeholder relationships and own end-to-end delivery of projects and change requests. Coordinate requirements, solution design, testing, implementation, risks, and go-live activities. Monitor payment transaction issues, system performance, NPCI benchmarks, business metrics, complaints, audits, and regulatory updates. Partner with Product, Operations, Technology, and banking teams to improve operational efficiency, compliance, customer satisfaction, and account performance.

Leads UPI and RuPay business operations, including clearing, settlement, transaction monitoring, issue resolution, compliance, reporting, stakeholder management, and process improvement. Manages the operations team, ensures SLAs and regulatory adherence, coordinates technology and product changes, supports audits, analyzes payment trends, and drives initiatives improving scalability, efficiency, customer experience, and partner performance.
