The Assistant Principal supports school administration, instructional quality, educator supervision, student admissions and placement, curriculum assessment, accreditation, staff coverage, and therapeutic and vocational academy operations. The role also oversees SIS updates, alternate assessments, substitute staffing, discipline processes, school improvement initiatives, and mandated reporting. Candidates need at least five years of teaching experience, an Illinois Type 75 administrative certificate, special education knowledge, and experience analyzing educational data and supporting diverse learners.
