Maintain and scale on-prem embedded infrastructure for quantum computers. Design OTA update and secure firmware workflows, automate device management, build monitoring/alerting, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and on-prem hardware performance.

Lead architecture, design, and deployment of custom electronic assemblies for quantum control systems. Design PCBAs, collaborate on FPGA/processor selection, power/clocking, analog/RF front ends, and DAC/ADC. Perform schematic capture, PCB layout in Altium, bring-up, verification, testing, and DFM with contract manufacturers. Mentor engineers and coordinate cross-functional integration with firmware, software, and quantum teams.

Lead design and specification of complex opto-mechanical systems and UHV chambers. Collaborate with physicists and engineers to ensure precision stability, thermal performance, and alignment. Drive DFMA, tolerance analysis, FEA, assembly, integration, vendor management, mentorship, and technical documentation for next-generation quantum hardware.

The role involves designing high-performance control systems for quantum computing, focusing on embedded software, real-time systems, and hardware orchestration. Responsibilities include building firmware for SDRs, optimizing software for quantum hardware, and collaborating across disciplines.
