Build analytics tools, automated data collection systems, dashboards, and reports; apply statistical methods to improve output, yield, quality, efficiency, and downtime. Collaborate with process and equipment engineers to troubleshoot issues, recommend process or equipment changes, and improve data accessibility and reporting.

Designs and builds standard and custom mechanical test vehicles for iron-air battery research. Creates CAD models and engineering drawings, fabricates prototypes, develops tools and fixtures, collaborates with technicians and scientists, and improves assembly reliability. Manages multiple projects, follows lab and shop safety practices, and documents hardware for fabrication and testing.

Provides legal support for commercial energy projects from development through operations, including drafting and negotiating contracts, managing grants and tax credits, developing scalable contract processes, maintaining intercompany agreements, and overseeing corporate entity matters. Partners with commercial, finance, tax, and internal teams while advising on complex transactions, compliance, and business risks. The role requires at least 10 years of transactional legal experience, a JD, and active state bar membership.

Design and validate industrial control panels across their full lifecycle, including component selection, schematics, layouts, bills of materials, vendor coordination, high-voltage testing, and functional validation. Ensure compliance with NEC and UL 508A standards, collaborate on enclosure and thermal integration, and support DFMEA risk mitigation. Own high-fidelity CFD and transient thermal modeling for iron-air energy storage systems, spanning electrochemical cells to containerized systems. Validate simulations against test data, automate optimization workflows, analyze fluid routing and cooling efficiency, resolve thermal-fluid integration issues, select modeling methods, standardize workflows, and develop custom tools to address simulation limitations. Translate complex modeling results into system-level design requirements and guide multidisciplinary engineering decisions.

Own mechanical subsystem design for next-generation iron-air battery systems, covering thermal, fluid-handling, and structural components. Develop first-principles models, prototype and test novel designs, optimize manufacturability and cost, and guide systems through verification. Collaborate with battery, materials, electrical, controls, manufacturing, compliance, and program teams while engaging vendors and mentoring engineers. Champion safety and use AI-enabled workflows in a fast-paced, production-scaling environment.

Designs and validates PCBAs and electrical systems for high-power battery storage applications across the full lifecycle, including requirements, component selection, schematics, layouts, vendor DFM, bring-up, verification, sustaining, and troubleshooting. Collaborates with mechanical, firmware, manufacturing, and test teams while ensuring safety, reliability, compliance, and documentation standards.
