Own hardware quality across the product lifecycle: monitor field metrics (RMA, MTBF), analyze failure data, drive containment and corrective plans, manage failure analysis partners, present findings to stakeholders, and feed learnings back into manufacturing, engineering, and support.

As a PCIe Software Engineer, you'll manage high-speed communication between hardware components, modify PCI drivers, tune parameters, and develop tests using C, C++, and Python.

Design, implement, and maintain low-level network systems software to control hardware components (sensors, fans, power, storage, FPGAs, NICs, PCIe). Collaborate with hardware, manufacturing, and test teams, build automated tests, debug customer issues, and mentor junior engineers through the product lifecycle from bring-up to deployment.

Develop and maintain Linux kernel features for Arista EOS, track upstream kernel developments, integrate new kernel versions, qualify CPUs and NICs, build tests and infrastructure, collaborate with hardware vendors, mentor engineers, and support customers and system tests to diagnose and fix issues.

Develop and tune PCIe software at the hardware/software boundary: bring up PCIe links, tune root ports/bridges/endpoints, modify Linux PCI drivers and virtual memory, improve error visibility/resiliency (AER/DPC), create userspace mediation between ASICs/FPGAs/bridges, measure performance, and build automated C/C++/Python tests.

Lead the introduction of new liquid cooled products from design to manufacturing, optimizing processes and addressing quality issues with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include developing manufacturing guidelines, managing engineering changes, and training staff.
