Install, program, configure and troubleshoot Fanuc robots and multi-robot cells for GM applications. Support startup, offline programming, IO/weld interface configuration, safety setup, and train other robot techs. Read electrical/pneumatic schematics, follow GM program structure, and participate in continuous improvement and onsite support.

Requires a high school diploma or GED and 2–5 years of relevant inventory, warehouse, maintenance stores, or spare-parts experience.

Leads systems and software quality for automotive electronics programs by defining quality strategies, managing quality plans, assessing requirements and traceability, conducting audits and gate reviews, monitoring risks and corrective actions, and supporting ASPICE assessments. The role provides independent readiness evaluations, drives root-cause analysis and continuous improvement, oversees supplier quality, and reports program quality status to leadership. Collaboration spans engineering, cybersecurity, functional safety, validation, program management, and release teams.

Supports automotive sales and program management through financial quoting, cost modeling, project financial analysis, business case evaluation, customer cost breakdowns, budgeting, reporting, and pre-operational cost tracking. Maintains accurate program financials and advises project teams on financial matters while coordinating with engineering, purchasing, logistics, sales, and manufacturing stakeholders.

Designs, programs, integrates, troubleshoots, and improves industrial robotic systems and automated tooling in automotive manufacturing. Responsibilities include leading robotic cell installations, analyzing automation downtime, improving cycle time and throughput, maintaining schematics and programming standards, training plant personnel, and ensuring OSHA, MIOSHA, and company safety compliance.

Supports Magna Powertrain’s System Concept & Architecture and Product Line Management teams through competitive product benchmarking, teardown analysis, technical research, customer-needs analysis, product strategy, and documentation. Assists with new product concepts across 4WD, AWD, hybrid, and electrification lines, including quotation responses and product development activities. Gains hands-on experience with automotive applications, vehicle calculations, product drawings, and global cross-functional collaboration.

Supports automotive product and process innovation through concept generation, design activities, brainstorming, design reviews, structured problem-solving, risk management, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration. Assists with evaluating emerging engineering technologies, developing new products and processes, refining engineering practices, and participating in innovation initiatives under the guidance of senior engineers.

Supports the Program Manager with pre-production launch activities across one to three automotive programs. Coordinates component ordering, material readiness, build events, supplier and customer deliverables, documentation, packaging, quality requirements, and the transition from pre-production to manufacturing. The role collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, quality, materials, suppliers, integrators, and customers, while working on the manufacturing floor and supporting trials, testing, ramp-up, and PPAP activities.
