Identifies customer needs, coordinates internal resources and external partners, negotiates commercial terms, manages pipelines and forecasts, and closes opportunities while building trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders.

Lead mechanical product design and development from concept through production. Create 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings; perform stress, vibration, thermal, and performance analyses; and manage prototyping, verification, validation, and testing. Collaborate with electrical, software, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to deliver manufacturable, cost-effective products. Maintain technical documentation and drive continuous improvement in product quality and development processes.

Develop customer-focused automation concepts for custom equipment proposals. Translate customer requirements into technically capable, cost-effective solutions; create CAD concepts, cost estimates, risk assessments, cycle-time analyses, system flow diagrams, and comprehensive proposals. Interact with customers, support account managers, participate in quote reviews, provide early project technical support, and mentor junior engineers, co-ops, and interns. Travel to customer and company sites may be required up to 20%.

Leads full-cycle sales and regional growth for utility-scale solar and battery storage power conversion solutions. Builds relationships with utilities, IPPs, EPCs, and developers; develops go-to-market strategies; supports technical evaluations, proposals, and bids; manages pipeline forecasting; collaborates with product and engineering teams; and represents the company at industry events. Requires deep power systems expertise, utility-scale market relationships, and travel up to 50%.

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will design and develop mechanical systems for power transformers, perform analyses, collaborate with teams, and validate designs.

Create 3D CAD models, assemblies, engineering drawings, bills of material, specifications, and compressor components. Release and revise engineering files through PLM systems, perform basic calculations and component analysis, and support CFD and FEA setups. Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams across multiple projects, provide technical support, update project status, improve design processes, and assist with mentoring and training.

Recent graduates join an 18-month, full-time rotational program with three six-month assignments across Hitachi Energy business units and U.S. locations. Participants receive technical and product training, industry site experience, and exposure to advanced technologies while building professional networks. The role requires travel and relocation, strong communication, teamwork, initiative, curiosity, flexibility, and existing U.S. work authorization. An international rotation may also be available.
