The role supports WEX EnCompass corporate payments applications and requires end-to-end technical ownership, strong security and compliance awareness, and leadership in a distributed engineering environment.

Leads strategy, delivery, and operations for enterprise Kafka and eventing platforms within a PaaS environment. Oversees distributed systems architecture, reliability, security, automation, observability, compliance, and platform adoption across cloud environments. Manages engineering managers and senior engineers, establishes operational standards, partners across security and product organizations, and communicates platform strategy and outcomes to senior leadership.

Own and scale a multi-cloud data platform across AWS and Azure. Manage Apache Airflow, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD, CI/CD, observability, big data infrastructure, governance tooling, and FinOps initiatives. Provide end-to-end architectural and operational ownership, improve developer tooling, define platform roadmaps, manage incidents, enforce engineering standards, and mentor data platform engineers.

Own customer success, retention, renewals, and expansion for 14,000+ unassigned small-business accounts. Build scalable digital engagement programs including email campaigns, webinars, educational content, and self-service renewal workflows. Analyze account health, usage, campaign, NPS, and renewal data to prioritize outreach and mitigate churn. Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Enablement, and Sales while reporting on portfolio performance and improving digital customer-success playbooks.
