The Corporate Counsel will support Duolingo's legal team in corporate governance, securities compliance, M&A, and various legal matters while collaborating with cross-functional partners.

Lead and grow a software engineering team responsible for Duolingo’s notifications product and infrastructure. Co-lead strategy with Product, drive projects from specification through experimentation and ongoing ownership, and ensure reliability, scalability, observability, and quality. Use analytics and A/B testing to improve product KPIs, establish engineering standards and OKRs, manage technical debt, remove execution roadblocks, and collaborate across product, design, research, data science, and engineering.

Build quality systems, partner cross-functionally to ship experiments and scalable content generation, and recruit/manage freelance language experts. Shape strategy and execution for Indian language courses while maintaining rigorous documentation and measurement of learning impact.

Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to source, engage, and build talent pipelines for Marketing, Creative, Business and G&A roles. Conduct screens, create market maps and talent intelligence, run outreach A/B tests, and iterate sourcing strategies to improve candidate funnel performance.

Lead development and deployment of bandit models and large-scale neural networks for monetization. Collaborate cross-functionally, drive product and business decisions, mentor engineers, and ensure scalable, high-quality ML solutions across the ML stack (training, fine-tuning, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring).
