Lead a team of safety engineers to define and execute AV safety strategy across development, simulation, testing, and deployment. Apply UL4600/ISO standards, develop safety cases, set safety metrics (SPI), manage safety plans and artifacts, train engineers, and coordinate with partners and stakeholders to validate ML models and ADS integration for safe public-road operation.

Lead cross-functional program management for one or more autonomous vehicle platforms. Investigate fleet issues and perform root-cause analysis using vehicle logs; curate datasets; create and run simulation scenarios; report findings to autonomy teams; build documentation and knowledge base; support testing and escalation to improve AV safety and functionality.

Monitor and support autonomous vehicles in real time, enforce safety procedures, troubleshoot technical issues with engineering, train and coach remote agents and frontline staff, log vehicle health and incident reports, escalate accidents or customer complaints, and occasionally travel to sites to provide operational coverage and tool testing.

Design end-to-end in-vehicle and vehicle-to-cloud communication architectures, including Ethernet, CAN/CAN-FD, LIN, and TSN. Architect OTA, telematics, SOA and middleware (Classic/Adaptive AUTOSAR, SOME/IP), ensure functional safety and cybersecurity compliance, evaluate trade-offs, perform FMEA, and collaborate with systems, software, and OEM partners to deliver secure, scalable AV communication systems.

The Director of System Safety oversees safety functions for autonomous vehicles, managing safety cases, deployment plans, and regulatory relationships while leading a multi-disciplinary safety team.

Lead systems integration and validation for the Next Gen Autonomous Driving Kit, aligning software, hardware, and product requirements. Produce polished requirements/specifications, define verification metrics, perform FMEA, resolve cross-functional trade-offs, and coordinate with OEM partners to ensure platform performance and regulatory compliance.
