Lead design, integration, deployment, and sustainment of secure cross-domain solutions enabling mission-critical data sharing across Top Secret and classified networks. Responsibilities include architecture design, accreditation, security engineering, troubleshooting, documentation, mentoring, vendor evaluation, upgrades, testing, and operational support in classified environments.

Supervise and lead avionics engineering technicians in integration, test, troubleshooting, production support, and flight readiness. Oversee use of test equipment, interpret schematics and drawings, coordinate with engineering, production, quality, and supply chain, enforce policies and safety, analyze test and operational data, and drive training and continuous improvement.

Lead design, analysis, and integration of avionics thermal management for unmanned aircraft. Develop and validate analytical, numerical, and CFD models, run trade studies, plan and execute thermal tests, guide cross-disciplinary teams, and influence electrical/PCBA thermal design decisions.

Design and develop electro-mechanical or hydro-mechanical landing gear for autonomous UAVs. Own full design cycle from concept and CAD to analysis, tolerance stack-ups, materials selection, prototyping, FEA, testing, and production release. Collaborate with avionics, hydraulics, structures and electrical teams; support integration, ground and flight testing.

Develop and verify system-level safety requirements for the X-BAT platform. Perform hazard analyses (STPA, FMEA, FTA, PHA), maintain hazard tracking, support safety case and airworthiness documentation, coordinate cybersecurity safety requirements, investigate mishaps, participate in design reviews, and engage with customers and DoD safety representatives to assure traceability and mitigation closure.

Lead investigations into fielded V-BAT failures and repeat defects, perform root-cause analysis and corrective actions, analyze logs/returned hardware/test data, collaborate cross-functionally to implement reliability and maintainability improvements, and translate findings into design/process changes to improve fleet readiness.

Lead integration of autonomy software onto diverse platforms by designing and implementing interfaces between autonomy, vehicle subsystems, sensors, payloads, and communications. Configure Linux mission environments, middleware, containers, and deployment pipelines; support SIL/HIL/VIL validation, field tests, demonstrations, troubleshooting, and cross-team coordination while mentoring junior engineers.

Design, build, and execute mechanical and structural test plans, develop fixtures and hydraulic test systems, integrate and calibrate sensors, automate data collection and analysis with Python, perform FEA, produce technical reports, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate aircraft hardware.

Design and own automated electrical test systems for UAV components. Develop PCBs and custom fixtures, integrate PLCs/relays/PCBAs, automate test sequences in Python, and perform environmental reliability testing (HASS/ESS/HALT) while collaborating across disciplines to improve testability and hardware validation.

Lead design, validation, and deployment of advanced hardware test systems for V-BAT. Architect PCBs and test interfaces for power electronics, RF, and communications; develop Python automated test sequences; design custom test fixtures and integrate PLCs, relays, and harnessing. Drive DFT-focused reviews, perform HASS/ESS/HALT testing, and mentor junior engineers to improve hardware reliability in aerospace environments.
