Collaborate with avionics, hydraulics, structures and electrical teams; support integration, ground and flight testing.

Design, install, and integrate aircraft mechanical systems and components. Create 3D CAD models, installation layouts, and detailed drawings. Manage PLM/BOM data, apply GD&T and tolerance stack-ups, support prototypes and production, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate across disciplines to ensure manufacturable, maintainable aircraft hardware.

Develop and verify system-level safety requirements for the X-BAT platform. Perform hazard analyses (STPA, FMEA, FTA, PHA), maintain hazard tracking, support safety case and airworthiness documentation, coordinate cybersecurity safety requirements, investigate mishaps, participate in design reviews, and engage with customers and DoD safety representatives to assure traceability and mitigation closure.

Lead and drive cross-functional execution of V-BAT sustainment activities: maintain action trackers, run sustainment review rhythms, escalate and close corrective/configuration/obsolescence/service actions, coordinate releases and field rollouts, report risks and status to leadership, and enforce accountability across engineering, supply chain, quality, manufacturing, and support teams.

Lead investigations into fielded V-BAT failures and repeat defects, perform root-cause analysis and corrective actions, analyze logs/returned hardware/test data, collaborate cross-functionally to implement reliability and maintainability improvements, and translate findings into design/process changes to improve fleet readiness.
