Design end-to-end human-machine interfaces for UAV ground control station software. Create wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes in Figma; apply human factors principles for real-time data visualization, conduct usability testing and simulations, and collaborate with engineers, pilots, and human factors experts to maintain scalable design systems.

Lead design, development, integration, and validation of complex ground-system software. Define software architecture, derive and trace software requirements, participate in system reviews, collaborate with hardware/network/test teams, and support customer-facing technical deliverables.

Define and operationalize company-wide engineering design standards for aerospace programs (VBAT, XBAT). Standardize CAD, drawing quality, design/analysis workflows, documentation, EBOM/MBOM handoffs, and configuration management. Partner with engineering leaders to scale engineering excellence, influence cross-discipline design decisions, and improve consistency without blocking execution.

Develop and maintain control and autonomy algorithms for the V-BAT codebase across full lifecycle: algorithm design, software implementation, unit/component tests, flight software qualification, flight test support, and simulation model updates and validation. Work on control systems for unmanned aerial systems and robotics, including outer-loop path planning/trajectory synthesis and hierarchical software integration.

Designs and executes test strategies for flight-critical software, develops V&V test plans and procedures, runs automated and HIL tests, analyzes results, troubleshoots system issues, and coordinates with engineering, manufacturing, and program teams to ensure reliability and mission readiness.

Support government contracting cost accounting compliance by ensuring FAR/DFARS/CAS adherence, preparing incurred cost submissions, provisional and forward pricing rate proposals, assisting with DCAA/DCMA audits, reviewing contracts for pricing compliance, maintaining internal controls, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and remediate compliance risks.

Design and develop complex electro-mechanical mechanisms for autonomous UAVs. Own concept through drawing release, perform kinematic and structural calculations, run preliminary FEA, prototype and test mechanisms, and support pre-production builds and flight testing while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
