Manages the Loss Mitigation SPOC team, monitoring productivity, documentation, call quality, and regulatory compliance. Oversees policies, audits, complaints, appeals, escalations, licensing requirements, remediation plans, process improvements, training, hiring, and performance management. Ensures mortgage loss mitigation activities meet investor, company, state, and federal requirements, including debt collection and bankruptcy regulations.

The role manages 4–6 direct reports and 30–40 indirect reports while supporting mortgage default, loss mitigation, short sale, servicing, and regulatory activities.

Resolves escalated mortgage loan defects and investor stipulations across conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, jumbo, and other loan products. Reviews loan documentation, underwriting decisions, appraisals, financial qualifications, compliance requirements, and fraud risks. Researches and rebuts investor decisions, analyzes suspense trends, recommends process improvements, collaborates with processors and loan officers, and mentors junior specialists while ensuring timely loan purchases.

The VP and CISO will establish and lead the enterprise information security program, define security strategy and roadmap, oversee security architecture, policies, compliance, risk management, third-party partners, and security operations. The role advises executives and the Board, manages distributed security teams, engages regulators and auditors, and translates cybersecurity risks into strategic business decisions.

Leads the design and modernization of secure, scalable, resilient cloud platforms. Develops reference architectures, reusable engineering patterns, automation frameworks, IaC, CI/CD standards, security controls, observability, disaster recovery, and operational practices. Partners with architecture, engineering, security, SRE, and delivery teams to guide implementations, evaluate technologies, support cloud migrations, improve reliability and cost efficiency, and mentor technical teams.

Leads and matures the organization’s third-party risk management program, including vendor onboarding, risk assessments, continuous monitoring, remediation, contract security requirements, regulatory alignment, reporting, and executive risk guidance. Partners with Information Security, Legal, Compliance, Procurement, Privacy, and business teams to manage vendor security, privacy, operational, continuity, and concentration risks.

Establishes Guild Mortgage’s enterprise integration strategy, governance model, API and data interoperability standards, and long-term architecture roadmap. Leads integration governance, ecosystem and platform selection, executive alignment, compliance, vendor negotiations, and change management. Advises technical leaders on architecture, security, quality, and standards; develops models, roadmaps, KPIs, and executive presentations; mentors architects and promotes integration excellence. The role is strategic and advisory rather than implementation-focused, covering hybrid and multi-cloud environments and emerging event-driven and AI-driven integration approaches.

Supports mortgage origination compliance through complaint investigations, regulatory and investor examinations, risk-based monitoring, transactional testing, regulatory research, root cause analysis, reporting, and remediation. Independently manages multiple compliance matters, develops testing methodologies and monitoring materials, communicates findings to regulators and leadership, and recommends improvements to compliance controls and the Compliance Management System.

Leads the company’s AI governance program by developing frameworks, policies, controls, inventories, approval processes, and monitoring for AI and LLM tools. Partners with security, engineering, IT operations, risk, legal, and compliance teams to manage AI risks, third-party due diligence, data protection, regulatory compliance, audits, training, and responsible AI adoption. Tracks emerging regulations and standards while measuring program effectiveness and driving continuous improvement.
