Lead reliability and quality engineering for rocket structures across design, manufacturing, testing, and launch. Responsibilities include drawing standardization, DFM, configuration control, work-instruction review, process development, build verification, nonconformance management, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, as-built verification, inspection initiatives, and cross-functional quality improvements. The role partners closely with engineering, additive manufacturing, production, test, and launch teams to establish scalable reliability processes for the Terran R launch vehicle.

Supports primary structure assembly on the shop floor, removes production barriers, improves manufacturing processes, creates work instructions and specifications, standardizes operations, and provides design-for-manufacturing feedback. Collaborates with design, manufacturing, reliability, production, and vendor teams during prototype and flight builds. Requires hands-on aerospace assembly experience, strong engineering fundamentals, and knowledge of drilling, trimming, fastening, machining, inspection, and GD&T.

Designs, analyzes, tests, and supports manufacturing of primary and secondary rocket structures for Relativity Space’s Terran R vehicle. Owns components from requirements through production, including load-path conceptualization, structural sizing, CAD design, drawing release, hardware test campaigns, and manufacturing process development. Uses NX/TeamCenter, Nastran, ANSYS, and hand calculations while collaborating across engineering and production teams.

Design, analyze, manufacture, and test rocket mechanisms including stage separation, payload deployment, landing gear, and aerodynamic actuation systems. The role covers full-cycle engineering, trade studies, requirements definition, structural analysis, subsystem integration, additive manufacturing, and hardware testing. The engineer collaborates with structures, avionics, fluids, vehicle design, test, loads, and manufacturing teams while leading projects to completion on schedule and within budget.

Owns system-level design and integration for complex rocket mechanisms, including thrust vector control. Defines requirements, CONOPS, verification plans, and test criteria; leads cross-functional collaboration across mechanical, actuator, GNC, avionics, and software teams. Coordinates design, manufacturing, integration, and testing while managing technical risks, schedules, and flight readiness. Provides hands-on support through test fixture design, sensor specification, automation, and root-cause investigations.
