The Operations Excellence Engineer II provides engineering and project support to improve labor productivity and inventory control at Americold facilities, leveraging data dashboards, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and providing training on operational tools.

Plan and release warehouse work to balance workflow, allocate orders, resolve shortages and order cuts, prioritize lift truck and dock tasks, run labor reports, maintain WMS settings and pick locations, support continuous improvement, troubleshoot systems, and communicate with customers and operations staff.

Prepare and review SEC and internal financial reporting, financial statements, footnote disclosures, share-based compensation, EPS, goodwill testing, MD&A and non-GAAP metrics. Support audits, SOX controls, technical accounting research, Workiva-Oracle integration, investor relations, and implementation of accounting/reporting systems while identifying process improvements.

Load and unload merchandise from trailers, verify container and chocking procedures, separate cases by style/size/color, build and stage pallets to spec, shrink-wrap pallets, maintain a safe and orderly work area, and perform other assigned warehouse duties.

Provide industrial engineering and project support for warehouse sites to improve labor productivity, inventory control, and processes. Develop and maintain time-studied standards, implement performance incentives, run continuous improvement projects, evaluate material handling and technology, train operations teams, conduct audits, and drive corrective actions using dashboards and data.

Coordinate order allocation and release work to the warehouse floor, balance workflow, resolve product shortages, manage order cuts, prioritize lift truck and dock tasks, run labor reports, optimize dock operations, update priorities and pick locations, support continuous improvement and safety, and communicate with customers and supervisors.

Manage strategic spend categories and supplier relationships by developing business plans, analyzing spend to identify savings, negotiating contracts, implementing sourcing programs, reporting on vendor performance, and maintaining vendor and material master data. Role includes supporting business units and enforcing procurement policies.

Develops and maintains enterprise business continuity and disaster recovery programs; conducts BIAs and risk assessments; establishes RTOs/RPOs; leads crisis response and testing; manages resilience platforms and vendor continuity; reports program metrics to senior leadership; partners with IT, operations, cybersecurity, safety, and audit to ensure continuity across global cold-chain, transport, and corporate functions.

Lead sourcing and category management for e-commerce and small-parcel spend. Develop procurement strategies, negotiate multi-carrier and supplier contracts, optimize costs, monitor market dynamics, evaluate vendor performance, and partner cross-functionally to support new business launches. Deliver reporting, maintain sourcing policies, mitigate supply risks, and drive supplier relationships and process improvements across the enterprise.
