Leads manufacturing engineering, equipment reliability, facility maintenance, process improvement, and capital projects. Manages engineering and facilities teams, preventive and predictive maintenance programs, equipment troubleshooting, Lean initiatives, budgets, contractors, audits, safety and regulatory compliance. Oversees manufacturing processes, utilities, infrastructure, equipment installations, production launches, and continuous improvement activities while maintaining records and improving productivity, quality, cost, and uptime.

Designs Powell standard electrical products from customer specifications, develops drawings and proposals, orders materials, and interfaces with sales, customers, and production. Reviews lower-level engineers’ work, checks wiring diagrams, provides technical guidance, troubleshoots complex application issues, and supports product improvements. Applies electrical design, power systems, relay coordination, short-circuit studies, industry codes, standards, and ISO requirements. May assign tasks, provide feedback, train engineers, and contribute to industry standards and professional development.

Designs Powell standard electrical products using customer specifications, creates and modifies drawings, interprets wiring diagrams and electrical codes, orders materials, and coordinates with sales, customers, designers, and shop personnel. The role checks diagrams, answers technical questions, resolves basic application problems, directs designers, applies power-system and relay knowledge, and improves product quality and cost efficiency.

Leads strategic and tactical HR support for a designated division, advising leaders on employee relations, performance management, compensation, talent management, engagement, organizational development, succession planning, recruiting, compliance, and employment law. Serves as the primary HR partner to leadership, coaches managers, implements people strategies, manages sensitive investigations, and supports regulatory reporting and HR communications across a multisite organization.

Create and manage the facility master schedule using P6/Primavera to meet customer demand and capacity constraints. Produce monthly/quarterly/yearly production plans and revenue projections, adjust schedules to meet targets, manage material ordering and supplier relations, identify production vs. capacity issues, and participate in training and professional associations.

The role requires managing sales growth through electrical distribution, developing new business opportunities, maintaining client relationships, and delivering presentations on Powell's products and services.

The Mechanical Engineer will design MEP systems using Revit and collaborate with project managers and subcontractors, ensuring compliance and safety in projects.

Lead and mentor an applications/estimating engineering team to deliver technical solutions for MV/LV electrical distribution equipment. Provide technical bid guidance, partner with sales on commercial strategies, optimize processes and standard solutions, analyze specifications and drawings, manage resources, and support customer relationships and division growth. Travel up to 25%.
