Develop and maintain high-fidelity spacecraft simulation models and infrastructure, including environmental, vehicle, sensor, effector, I/O, real-time, faster-than-real-time, and hardware-in-the-loop simulations. Design, implement, maintain, test, and assess flight software for spacecraft. Integrate software with hardware, develop unit and integration tests, evaluate I/O performance, and coordinate high-level feature testing. The role requires C/C++ development, communications protocol knowledge, strong software quality practices, and collaboration with hardware engineering teams in a fast-paced spaceflight environment.

Develop and integrate multi-body parachute models for Orion, Commercial Crew, and future spacecraft programs. Build deployment, inflation, and flight simulations in Julia and C++ using NASA flight mechanics and Trick-based systems. Support parachute test reconstruction, spacecraft performance analysis, touchdown assessments, HPC simulations, and model verification and validation. Produce requirements documentation and recommend software and design process improvements while collaborating with NASA and contractor engineering teams.

Designs, analyzes, fabricates, and tests liquid rocket engine components, including injectors, combustion chambers, manifolds, and feed systems. Creates CAD models, assemblies, drawings, and manufacturing documentation; performs structural, thermal, fluid, and manufacturability analyses; and optimizes components for additive manufacturing. Supports assembly, hot-fire testing, post-test evaluations, anomaly investigations, data analysis, and iterative design improvements while collaborating across propulsion, structures, thermal, manufacturing, test, and systems engineering teams.

Design, implement, maintain, and improve flight software for spacecraft systems. Integrate and assess hardware and software performance, interface with hardware development teams, and create unit and integration tests. The role requires strong C/C++ development and hardware/software integration experience, familiarity with serial and packetized communications protocols, disciplined software testing practices, communication skills, problem-solving ability, and a passion for spaceflight. Experience with the GSFC Core Flight Software framework is preferred.

Supports acceptance and qualification testing of aerospace propulsion components, including procedure development, test execution, data analysis, anomaly disposition, and certification documentation. Coordinates with technicians and test operators during safe test setup and execution, participates in readiness and post-test reviews, and contributes to propulsion system design, integration, verification, and operations. Responsibilities may expand to component ownership, requirements definition, test planning, supplier coordination, and data disposition.

Develop and test real-time flight software for positioning, navigation, and timing systems supporting lunar relay satellites. Integrate navigation sensors and software in software- and hardware-in-the-loop environments, develop high-fidelity simulation and testing capabilities, model spacecraft dynamics and sensors, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on flight and ground support software through testing and on-orbit operations.
