Leads TimberU, Timber’s educational library and knowledge hub. Owns content strategy, editorial planning, educational quality, glossary development, contributor relationships, content organization, and engagement tracking. Creates and oversees articles, guides, videos, definitions, and other resources explaining business, startups, entrepreneurial IP, Optioning, Packaging, and Building. Coordinates with product leadership to integrate content into the platform and grow TimberU into a trusted user resource.

Leads Timber’s internal legal strategy and compliance framework, including contracts, intellectual property, corporate governance, marketplace agreements, regulatory risk, and legal documentation. Advises the founding team, coordinates with outside counsel, supports fundraising diligence, maintains corporate records, and establishes reusable legal templates and processes. This is a remote, equity-only, hours-as-needed founding-team role with potential to become full-time as the company grows.

Own Timber’s 0-to-1 platform strategy, discovery, MVP definition, roadmap, backlog, user research, prototyping, usability testing, product metrics, and iteration. Translate the company’s marketplace model into clear workflows for creators, buyers, investors, talent, and other participants. Partner closely with engineering, design, leadership, and communications to balance user value, business priorities, technical feasibility, and available resources while establishing a usable, validated early product.

Lead Timber’s financial planning and accounting operations, including financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, cash and runway management, cap table coordination, fundraising preparation, unit economics analysis, financial controls, KPI reporting, and variance tracking. The role supports investor diligence, fundraising scenarios, compensation and equity decisions, and provides the founding team with reliable financial visibility.
