Unpaid, full-time 10-week internships for law students providing civil legal assistance to low-income Maine residents. Interns conduct client intake, communication, fact development, legal research, drafting, litigation preparation, and casework under attorney supervision. Opportunities span housing, family law, consumer issues, education, victims’ rights, and Indigenous peoples’ services. Internships are primarily in person, with some remote flexibility, and may include court observation or appearances for qualified students.

Ten-week, in-person legal fellowship serving Franklin County through Pine Tree Legal Assistance. The fellow will provide direct civil legal services focused on housing and public benefits, with additional family law and victims’ rights work. Responsibilities include client intake and communication, legal research, drafting memos and briefs, litigation preparation, community outreach, and relationship-building with community partners. The fellow will work under attorney supervision and may observe or appear in court.
