Supervise accounting staff and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities. Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, management reporting packages, reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, lease statements, capital reports, and budget-to-actual analyses. Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC requirements, internal controls, and oil and gas accounting regulations. Coach employees, review performance, investigate variances, and partner cross-functionally to explain operating results and improve reporting processes.

Plans and executes operational, financial, compliance, ESG, SOX, and special internal audits. Evaluates controls, identifies gaps and exceptions, recommends improvements, documents findings, and tracks remediation. Communicates audit results to management and process owners while coordinating with auditors, consultants, and contractors. Requires strong knowledge of auditing standards, financial risks, internal controls, project management, and Microsoft Office tools.

Reviews drilling and division order title opinions, maintains divisions of interest, prepares and distributes division orders, and resolves ownership and title issues. The role communicates with attorneys, owners, brokers, and internal teams; researches revenue discrepancies and prior-period adjustments; and calculates royalties, overriding royalties, and working interests. It requires strong analytical, organizational, communication, and data-entry skills, with at least two years of division order, land administration, or related experience.

Manages internal audit activities, including operational, financial, compliance, sustainability, and special-project audits. Leads SOX 404 testing, control assessment, documentation, budgeting, and reporting. Ensures remediation of audit findings, prepares reports for management and the Audit Committee, and supervises at least two employees. Requires strong auditing, risk analysis, communication, project management, and financial controls expertise.

Performs operational, financial, compliance, ESG, and SOX audits; reviews departmental data, audit files, and reports for accuracy and compliance. Documents control exceptions, recommends process improvements, communicates findings to management, and tracks remediation efforts. Requires strong organization, communication, analytical judgment, and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. This is an individual contributor role with regular business hours and minimal travel.
