Leads ACLS’s Intentional Design for an Equitable Academy unit, overseeing strategy, initiatives, programs, budget, operations, and a seven-person team. Builds partnerships with academic institutions, foundations, and philanthropists; secures funding; represents the unit externally; and coordinates with Communications, Development, and Finance. The role requires deep knowledge of academic policy and culture, strong leadership, fundraising, collaboration, and adaptive problem-solving. It is hybrid, requires New York City commuting distance, and includes some travel.

Develops and amplifies ACLS content through media relations, press outreach, web features, social media, newsletters, and digital assets. Builds journalist relationships, drafts pitches and releases, manages communications distribution, tracks earned-media metrics, coordinates multimedia production, and supports organizational communications strategy. The role requires strong writing, editing, project coordination, photography, and collaboration skills in a hybrid New York City setting.

Manages ACLS marketing and communications operations across Mailchimp, WordPress, social media, digital advertising, and branded digital assets. Responsibilities include newsletter production, website coordination, campaign planning, social content development, performance analysis, brand template management, vendor coordination, photography, process documentation, and administrative support. The role collaborates cross-functionally with communications, program, fundraising, technology, and external partners to expand audience reach and engagement.

Supports the Mellon Mays Programs through grant application processing, payment tracking, database and portal maintenance, calendar and deadline management, communications, and event coordination. The role oversees online tools, application-system updates, meeting records, reporting materials, and correspondence with applicants, fellows, partners, and advisory members. It also collaborates with internal departments, vendors, and events staff to organize workshops and meetings.
