The Office Manager oversees daily headquarters operations, workplace maintenance, supplies, deliveries, vendor coordination, and administrative support. Responsibilities include organizing leadership meetings and company events, managing access cards and office inventory, welcoming visitors, responding to customer inquiries, and supporting the CEO with confidential administrative tasks. The role is onsite Monday through Friday and requires strong organization, communication, discretion, adaptability, and service orientation.

Own end-to-end payroll processing for corporate and cafe employees, including timekeeping review, deductions, adjustments, tax notices, compliance reporting, employee records, and issue resolution. Support payroll questions from employees and managers, maintain HRIS data, audit processes, troubleshoot systems, and improve payroll accuracy and efficiency while handling confidential information.

The People Operations Manager handles employee relations investigations, leaves and accommodations, employment compliance, manager coaching, HRIS data integrity, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding. This role partners with the Director of People and cross-functional teams to improve People processes, manage employee-related risk, and ensure consistent practices across Alfred’s multi-location café organization.
