Provides mechanical and manufacturing engineering support across production, quality, and engineering teams. Develops work instructions, quality plans, training documents, production processes, cost analyses, and delivery forecasts. Supports quoting, throughput and efficiency improvements, nonconformance reduction, product and process analysis, and customer technical discussions. Leads optical metrology strategy and measurement-system development for precision optical components and assemblies. Oversees interferometry, profilometry, alignment, MTF, distortion, calibration, uncertainty analysis, reliability testing, and automated inspection systems. Drives measurement traceability, process improvement, yield enhancement, and root-cause analysis while collaborating with quality, engineering, and manufacturing teams. Provides technical leadership during audits and reviews, mentors metrology staff, and directs technicians.

Designs, analyzes, tests, and optimizes optical systems using Zemax, Code V, LightTools, and related tools. Collaborates with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to integrate systems and meet performance requirements. Analyzes datasets, develops visualization tools, presents technical results, and guides technical staff. Requires strong knowledge of optical principles, testing, simulation, and system validation, along with a bachelor’s or master’s degree and 5–10 years of experience.

Provides engineering support for PVD optical coating processes used in optical-component manufacturing. Responsibilities include coating process development, production support, equipment troubleshooting, process optimization, optical measurement, data analysis, corrective actions, technician training, documentation, and continuous improvement. The role supports stable, repeatable, scalable processes while improving yield, consistency, and cost control.

Supports technical sales, customer communications, quoting, proposals, CRM updates, business development, and account coordination for optics, photonics, and precision manufacturing solutions. Partners with engineering, manufacturing, quality, production, and supply chain teams to understand technical requirements, respond to customer inquiries, coordinate projects, monitor schedules, and support revenue growth through market research, trade shows, customer meetings, and sales reporting.

Perform interferometric and MTF testing to characterize, validate, and troubleshoot precision optical systems. Develop test procedures, analyze wavefront and imaging data, support optical alignment and root-cause investigations, maintain metrology equipment, and document technical results. Collaborate with design, manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to improve product performance and production yield while ensuring compliance with applicable quality standards.

Provides day-to-day technical support for hardware, software, networks, manufacturing systems, and office environments. Maintains ERP, MES, QMS, and other business applications; performs monitoring, maintenance, backups, access management, documentation, onboarding, and offboarding. Supports IT implementations, upgrades, testing, training, security compliance, and process improvements while assisting employees and maintaining system reliability.

Manages customer programs from concept through full production, including product development, engineering support, cost analysis, delivery forecasting, tooling and fixture design, manufacturing process development, quality decisions, and cross-functional coordination. Evaluates materials, processes, moldability, assembly, and product efficiency while supporting cost reduction and quality improvement initiatives.
