The role requires onsite ship checks aboard nuclear submarines and collaboration with experienced engineering staff.

Supports U.S. Navy submarine Ship Control Systems through independent verification and validation. Reviews engineering specifications, drawings, plans, and system, software, and hardware test procedures; validates requirements; witnesses qualification and acceptance testing; and audits computer software units. Requires an engineering, mathematics, physical sciences, or computer science bachelor’s degree, submarine systems experience, programming experience, U.S. citizenship, and an active or obtainable Secret clearance.
