Own end-to-end technical recruiting at Rainmaker, including sourcing, pipeline development, structured interview design, calibrated debriefs, candidate experience, offer closing, and hiring quality. Build scalable recruiting processes, systems, analytics, and standards while partnering with leadership and hiring managers to recruit engineering, hardware, science, operations, and executive talent.

Own vehicle software spanning onboard systems, ground stations, mission planning, autonomy, sensor and payload integration, failsafes, communications, and operator interfaces. The role requires mechanical and electrical integration experience, technical drawing and schematic interpretation, complex system troubleshooting, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment.

Build and operate security automation across AWS, applications, company systems, and field operations. Map risks, implement secure infrastructure, review application security, automate access and secrets management, integrate security checks into deployment workflows, develop detections, support incident response, and secure remote access for aircraft and field teams.

Own embedded firmware for cloud-seeding vehicles, including flight controllers, power systems, sensors, payloads, and onboard Linux interfaces. Responsibilities span architecture, board bring-up, drivers, communication protocols, safety mechanisms, testing, releases, field deployment, and troubleshooting. The role partners with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, and flight operations teams to deliver reliable vehicle systems.

Lead electrical system architecture for UAS, payload, and sensing hardware. Design and prototype PCBs, power distribution, sensor interfaces, and communications modules using Altium. Bring up and validate boards, develop testing procedures, document designs, and support manufacturing. Develop embedded systems and low-level drivers, collaborate across engineering and research teams, mentor engineers, and lead technical reviews. Preferred experience includes UAV flight systems, high-power electronics, batteries, RF, and autopilot hardware.

Lead end-to-end technical direction for unmanned aircraft platforms, from requirements and design through first flight and qualification. Model propulsion and environmental performance, qualify motors and powertrain components, own GNC architecture and tuning, and design and execute flight-test campaigns. Lead testing and quality assurance processes, mentor the QA team, analyze flight data, and support extended domestic and international field deployments.

Leads Rainmaker’s international government relations and foreign policy strategy. Owns Department of State, Congressional, partner-government, coalition, and multilateral engagement; develops internationally focused programs and secures federal funding. Advises on geopolitics, technology transfer, export controls, sanctions, anti-corruption, and international compliance. Coordinates delegations, demonstrations, proposals, and cross-functional partnerships while building the company’s Washington-based international affairs function.

Designs and supports mission-critical electrical subsystems for Rainmaker’s unmanned aircraft systems. The role contributes to UAS platforms, dispersion payloads, and in-situ and remote sensing systems within a fast-paced cloud-seeding technology environment, reporting to the Electrical Engineering Lead.

Lead hands-on mechanical engineering for Rainmaker’s cloud seeding systems, owning hardware from concept through production. Develop and support UAS, dispersion payload, and in-situ or remote sensing systems while providing technical leadership, guidance, and design reviews for other engineers.
