The Vice President of Public Affairs leads public policy, government relations, strategic communications, marketing, brand management, media relations, events, and stakeholder engagement. This executive develops advocacy strategies, strengthens organizational visibility and influence, engages Congress and federal agencies, advances the AbilityOne Program, and oversees multidisciplinary teams. The role requires executive-level leadership, strategic thinking, political acumen, communication expertise, and significant nonprofit or government relations experience.

Drive federal and commercial business growth for AbilityOne products and services by identifying, developing, capturing, and winning opportunities. Build relationships with DoD, U.S. Army, federal civilian agencies, prime contractors, nonprofit partners, and procurement stakeholders. Develop account and business plans, manage pipelines and forecasts, maintain market intelligence, promote set-aside opportunities, and align customer needs with organizational capabilities. The role requires extensive federal acquisition and sales experience, including FAR, DFARS, contract vehicles, and Army procurement knowledge.

Leads federal pricing support for products and services on the AbilityOne Procurement List. Oversees price analysis, negotiations, market research, cost-plus pricing, regulatory compliance, Commission submissions, reporting, quality assurance, training, and process improvement. Manages six direct reports, including hiring, performance management, coaching, and work allocation. Represents the function in executive and cross-functional initiatives, leads weekly delivery meetings, and travels up to 10% to agencies and meetings.
