Paid, credit-based, or volunteer summer internships in Nassau County municipal government. College students are placed in departments aligned with their majors, including accounting, legal, audit, claims, communications, payroll, policy and research, and community engagement. Interns participate in seminars, gain exposure to local government operations, and work in a flexible, fast-paced environment. Remote opportunities are available. The program runs from June 5 through August 13.

Leads Nassau County’s financial ERP migration from pre-implementation analysis through implementation. Owns migration planning, requirements, vendor and consultant coordination, risk management, budgeting, stakeholder communication, process improvement, controls, data, infrastructure, configuration, training, and change management. Serves as the primary interface between IT, business departments, executives, vendors, and subject matter experts while driving automation, efficiency, and improved financial decision-making.
